- Such a fun unique stay! Great value, especially for families. Our private “suite” was very roomy— 2 private bedrooms plus another semi private space with a single bed, plus a large entry hall and living room! It felt like an entire 2 bedroom apartment. Breakfast was amazing and really contributes to the warm hospitality. We enjoyed our conversations with the hosts and learned a lot about the area. The views are beautiful. We played some ping pong and a board game. It was nice to see a true family business with the kids pitching in too. A great Airbnb experience. Highly recommended!

Russell8/29/2022JanElle is an awesome host! Very accomodating. The property is beautiful. She even made fresh muffins in thr morning for us. Will stay again. Family loved the games and big yard and all of the wildlife. Plus the amazing views. Give it a look!

Taylor8/13/2023We had an wonderful trip. The house is very nice and spacious, lots of room to move around. The Owners are amazing and gave some great local food recommendations. We were taking a snowboarding trip in Colorado and the this house was an amazing place to relax at after coming back from the mountain. 
Cole1/03/2022We had a great time in the Mesa Verde area staying in the Wranglers Roost. JanElle and Todd were responsive and excellent hosts. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. The location was very close to the National in Park as well as other areas of interest. Unexpectedly we were provided with fresh muffins and a great breakfast on our last day. It was awesome and was a great personal touch. Hope to stay here again in future.

Kathleen6/14/2020Talk about some amazing hospitality! This was such a cute setup on a little farm with an awesome views! Jana makes the most delicious homemade muffins and it was so nice to wake up to a homemade breakfast. We felt so cozy here. My son also forgot his stuffed animal there and Jana was kind enough to offer mailing it to us. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Jen10/15/2023This was the first time we have tried an air b n’ b with a shared space. The home was spacious, and the suite we stayed in was large enough to spread out. There was another family there that we shared the kitchen with. The space was plenty big enough to share. We appreciated that there were two kitchen tables, so we could all sit down and eat. The game room was great, my kids loved the ping pong. We would definitely stay again!

Located in a quiet farm community you are still only 20 minutes from the Mesa Verde park entrance, 7 minutes from one of Phil’s World mountain biking trailheads, and just a few minutes away from restaurants and grocery stores including a Walmart. At the home we enjoyed watching the deer and blue birds, playing games in the large kitchen space, and the kids loved the tire swing and toys. There was a lot of space for having private areas and plenty of beds. The beds were relatively comfortable and the home was clean. Our biggest pros were location and amount of space and our only complaints were small toilets, no smoke detectors we could see, and a couple rooms that were hard to cool. The hosts are phenomenal and answered all our questions quick and easy. You should know that there are others that live in the building but the space is well separated and you won’t even know they are there. Their accommodations are completely separate. I would recommend you consider this space if you are bringing a large family and especially if you want moderately separate spaces for multiple families.

Samantha8/30/2020Wir waren eine Nacht bei JanElle und haben es sehr genossen. Von dem Grundstück schaut man auf weite Felder und hat die Hügel im Hintergrund. Wir haben den Abend auf der Veranda verbracht und die Aussicht genossen. Für Selbstversorger gibt es ein Walmart ganz in der Nähe. In dem Haus gibt es eine gut ausgestattete Küche und Fernseher sowie einen Spielraum.
Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

The host is absolutely fantastic, helping with any issues in the lodge and also giving great tips for local activities.

Sultan8/19/2021We were a large group of 14. When we arrive at Mountain View Lodge everything was ready the lights were even on. The lodge is so curly decorated. We were four families and had enough rooms for each family. The kids were able to run around in the large yard, play games in the games room. When asked what they wanted to do they replied play. There was even a tree swing which the kids loved. Our stay their was relaxing and very peaceful. Mountain View Lodge is a hidden gem. The scenery was amazing! JoaElle was a wonderful host. This is a place I would love to return to. Thank you for a great vacation!

I booked at the last minute, but JanElle and her family were so welcoming and accommodating. The place is close to Mesa Verde NP, but you could come here just for a vacation.
Located on a large property (farm?) there are sweet touches like bottled water and snacks in each suite, a game room and kitchen. In the common area and even a tire swing outside for the kids. We saw deer across the street last night and a million stars.
The hosts were also incredibly helpful in recommending local restaurants and breakfast was amazing.
We stumbled on this listing out of necessity, and will be back by choice. You won’t be disappointed. 
Christina7/28/2020The Mountain View Lodge was a lovely property, and proved to be a choice location while traveling through Cortez. The Wranglers Roost was plenty comfortable for our overnight stay - bedding options, space, and value were a win. We greatly appreciated the service and offerings JanElle and Todd provide, and we'd look forward to an opportunity to stay again while in the area.

The house has a beautiful view, and the bed was very comfortable. Ruth9/06/2021What a great place! There were 15 of us and we weren’t a bit crowded. It was so spacious! It was also very well stocked and had everything we needed. Our family really enjoyed the corn hole, tire swing, and ping pong. We especially loved all the deer. Beds were comfy and towels were plentiful. I would highly recommend JanElle’s place! 
Marvelle9/05/2022A fantastic setting for a quiet stay in the mountains. So many configurations within the house made it very easy for our extended family to feel comfortable and have their own privacy. We will definitely be staying here again and again and again
