- Excellent place to stay
Kevin12/23/2022Great place and great location! This was a good fit for our family and I highly recommend it. Be aware that you may get some extra noise from private tenants down below your sleeping area. We would definitely come back again!

Viviana9/08/2023We rented the entire place for a gathering of family and friends to celebrate a 90th birthday, hosting about 25 people. The place was perfect for the occasion. Lots of room and well equipped. The view is spectacular. The suites are large , clean and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 days and the location is great, it's a short drive to Cortez or Dolores or Mesa Verde NP. Lots of things to do. This place is an exceptional value.

Roshan9/23/2023We had a great time in the Mesa Verde area staying in the Wranglers Roost. JanElle and Todd were responsive and excellent hosts. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. The location was very close to the National in Park as well as other areas of interest. Unexpectedly we were provided with fresh muffins and a great breakfast on our last day. It was awesome and was a great personal touch. Hope to stay here again in future.

We booked pretty last minute in July 🥵 so the bedrooms were pretty hot upon arrival but the hosts were extremely accommodating and helped us utilize other spaces/fans while the rooms cooled down.
Very friendly, responsive and helpful hosts! 
Ben7/04/2023Great ranch location outside of Cortez. We stayed in the wranglers roost room(s) which had two private and one semi-private bedrooms. Clean and comfortable space. Shared kitchen space, which worked for us, but no other guests really used it that week. 
Kevin10/12/2023We stayed here to visit Mesa Verde and it was perfect! Super spacious, way close to the park, spotless, beautiful countryside views, and had everything we needed. Definitely would recommend!

Kevin9/01/2023This place is in a great location! Currently seeing some renovations, but quite the ample space and great for large groups. There are some other tenants on property and no washer/dryer. However, the big open space on the main floor is very enjoyable and a great view out the front! 
Russell8/30/2021Great house for our family reunion we had. Games for the whole family and totes of toys for kids. Great yard and close to Mesa Verde, Four Corners, and great local restaurants. We are planning to come back again! 
Sarah6/19/2022JanElle's place was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We dropped by last-minute yet without much notice yet we were greeted warmly and our space was ready. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hospitality. Also, our breakfast the next morning was outstanding -- especially the french toast! Highly recommended! 
Darius6/09/2020Terrific value! The suite was roomy, comfortable, and very clean. JanElle and Todd were very helpful and accommodating and even made a delicious hot breakfast on the morning of our departure. We highly recommend it! 
Kathleen6/14/2020This house is fantastic! It was filled with special touches including a game room and toy box for the kiddos. The view was stunning. We loved the view from the front window. JanElle was kind enough to make sure the great room was warm. We would definitely stay here again! 
Neena11/29/2020 - We had a fantastic stay! We were comfortably able to accommodate our group staying at the home and our family that visited during the day that lives locally. The home is very spacious and a perfect location for large families or multiple families traveling together. We cooked our full Thanksgiving meal and had plenty of cooking utensils to use in the kitchen. The game room and tire swing were hits with the kids. Very friendly and responsive hosts, would definitely recommend!

Angie Lucia7/19/2021Wranglers Roost, past the kitchen and living area and upstairs to Wranglers Roost. Got those place because it had seperate bedrooms for a friend and I. There's another tiny bed that's tucked away at the corner of the main living space. Bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. Bathroom was great and full of towels. One of the bedroom has a small living area with tv and mini fridge. The house sits on the outer skirts of town so drive into city is about 10 mins.

Mandie7/04/2020The Mountain View Lodge was a lovely property, and proved to be a choice location while traveling through Cortez. The Wranglers Roost was plenty comfortable for our overnight stay - bedding options, space, and value were a win. We greatly appreciated the service and offerings JanElle and Todd provide, and we'd look forward to an opportunity to stay again while in the area.

Roseanne7/09/2021JanElle and her husband, were great! Very helpful and always willing to help. Their place was absolutely beautiful and perfect for my stay. It had everything I needed and close to town but perfectly hidden away from city lights and noise. 
Pedro12/05/2023Great space to enjoy a great place. Located in a quiet farm community you are still only 20 minutes from the Mesa Verde park entrance, 7 minutes from one of Phil’s World mountain biking trailheads, and just a few minutes away from restaurants and grocery stores including a Walmart. At the home we enjoyed watching the deer and blue birds, playing games in the large kitchen space, and the kids loved the tire swing and toys. There was a lot of space for having private areas and plenty of beds. The beds were relatively comfortable and the home was clean. Our biggest pros were location and amount of space and our only complaints were small toilets, no smoke detectors we could see, and a couple rooms that were hard to cool. The hosts are phenomenal and answered all our questions quick and easy. You should know that there are others that live in the building but the space is well separated and you won’t even know they are there. Their accommodations are completely separate. I would recommend you consider this space if you are bringing a large family and especially if you want moderately separate spaces for multiple families. 
Emily5/19/2022We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is spacious and comfortable. We had 10 people in our group and we definitely could have fit a few more comfortably. There are even some futons and pull out couches if you need to cram in a few more beyond that.
The hosts were very helpful when needed. The view is amazing. The yard was fun for the kids to play in. They loved the tire swing! We loved that each suite had its own sitting area and TV. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely try to get back for another stay someday.

Daniel4/12/2022Talk about some amazing hospitality! This was such a cute setup on a little farm with an awesome views! Jana makes the most delicious homemade muffins and it was so nice to wake up to a homemade breakfast. We felt so cozy here. My son also forgot his stuffed animal there and Jana was kind enough to offer mailing it to us. We will definitely be back next time we are in town! 
Paige7/16/2020JanElle's place feels so cozy! The rustic Americana vibe just makes you melt when you've been traveling all day. We had to make a last-minute reservation, but JanElle was super accomodating!
