- The Mountain View Lodge was a lovely property, and proved to be a choice location while traveling through Cortez. The Wranglers Roost was plenty comfortable for our overnight stay - bedding options, space, and value were a win. We greatly appreciated the service and offerings JanElle and Todd provide, and we'd look forward to an opportunity to stay again while in the area.

Roseanne7/09/2021This place was awesome. Great location for Mesa Verde. Plenty of room for 6 people, 2 private rooms, and a great common room downstairs. Also a really cool mountain view from the front porch with some chairs. Nice and quiet, very clean, would highly recommend! 
Matt5/20/2022We enjoyed the Wrangler's Roost! Very comfortable beds, very roomy private and shared areas, clean and well stocked, very clear instructions. So many delightful ways to spend time at Mountain View Lodge and in the Cortez/Durango area. We would definitely recommend this spot!

Aaron7/18/2020Great home for large families or groups. Everything you need is provided, JanElle was quick to respond to our questions. The kids loved the activity room with all the toys and the view is amazing from the front porch. We spend many morning s and evening’s sitting outside. Our whole family enjoyed the trip. Mike8/17/2021We had a great time in the Mesa Verde area staying in the Wranglers Roost. JanElle and Todd were responsive and excellent hosts. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. The location was very close to the National in Park as well as other areas of interest. Unexpectedly we were provided with fresh muffins and a great breakfast on our last day. It was awesome and was a great personal touch. Hope to stay here again in future.

Clint6/25/2021We had an wonderful trip. The house is very nice and spacious, lots of room to move around. The Owners are amazing and gave some great local food recommendations. We were taking a snowboarding trip in Colorado and the this house was an amazing place to relax at after coming back from the mountain. Cole1/03/2022We really enjoyed our stay at this great location! We enjoyed watching deer from the front and back windows, being away from the city, access to the large private and shared spaces. Great location for a great price! 
Marlow10/22/2023Our stay was great! Very clean and comfy and so much space for the money. The shared kitchen area was well stocked and spacious enough to use alongside other guests. We really appreciate the last minute booking. 
Sage10/01/2023Generally a good place to stay, however the headboard on the bed should be swapped out for a smaller one that allows the bed to sit against the wall as it is very small and feels too easy to fall off because of it not being against the wall. The ac unit is so loud that it's difficult to sleep through so I had to turn it off. the covers onthe bed are too small and made for a less than ideal nights sleep . the shower and bathroom are well maintained and easy to use.

Jordan1/18/2021 - JanElle is an awesome host! Very accomodating. The property is beautiful. She even made fresh muffins in thr morning for us. Will stay again. Family loved the games and big yard and all of the wildlife. Plus the amazing views. Give it a look!

Elena10/18/2021We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is spacious and comfortable. We had 10 people in our group and we definitely could have fit a few more comfortably. There are even some futons and pull out couches if you need to cram in a few more beyond that.
The hosts were very helpful when needed. The view is amazing. The yard was fun for the kids to play in. They loved the tire swing! We loved that each suite had its own sitting area and TV. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely try to get back for another stay someday.

Jisha1/03/2021Great house for our family reunion we had. Games for the whole family and totes of toys for kids. Great yard and close to Mesa Verde, Four Corners, and great local restaurants. We are planning to come back again!

David7/24/2023**Look no further.** This place is awesome. The breakfast JanElle cooked was amazing. We had a wonderful time. Game room was perfect for the kids. Convenient to town, yet out of town. WE WILL BE BACK!!

Almukhtar8/06/2021This was a great place for us to meet up with friends. The common areas comfortably accommodated several guests. Our suite worked well for us too. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch with mountain views. We hope to stay again. 
Sonja8/08/2021We were a large group of 14. When we arrive at Mountain View Lodge everything was ready the lights were even on. The lodge is so curly decorated. We were four families and had enough rooms for each family. The kids were able to run around in the large yard, play games in the games room. When asked what they wanted to do they replied play. There was even a tree swing which the kids loved. Our stay their was relaxing and very peaceful. Mountain View Lodge is a hidden gem. The scenery was amazing! JoaElle was a wonderful host. This is a place I would love to return to. Thank you for a great vacation!

The common area downstairs is a nice touch as it gives the opportunity to interact with other guests while you make coffee (should you so choose). The view is incredible with a patio to sit on while you look over the valley.
