Tracer4/11/2021Great home for large families or groups. Everything you need is provided, JanElle was quick to respond to our questions. The kids loved the activity room with all the toys and the view is amazing from the front porch. We spend many morning s and evening’s sitting outside. Our whole family enjoyed the trip. 
Manuela6/17/2021We were a large group of 14. When we arrive at Mountain View Lodge everything was ready the lights were even on. The lodge is so curly decorated. We were four families and had enough rooms for each family. The kids were able to run around in the large yard, play games in the games room. When asked what they wanted to do they replied play. There was even a tree swing which the kids loved. Our stay their was relaxing and very peaceful. Mountain View Lodge is a hidden gem. The scenery was amazing! JoaElle was a wonderful host. This is a place I would love to return to. Thank you for a great vacation! 
Kathy6/09/2023Older place, clean, well kept. Great game room and toys for the kids. We did several things in Durango which was a bit of a drive (43 miles) but doable.
Had 14 of us and all comfortable. Thanks Janelle and Todd. 
David7/24/2023Had a wonderful time at JanElle’s place! A perfect stay to come back to after the day exploring Mesa Verde National park! We saw a beautiful sunset and some deer from the porch to end the night!

Jackie5/21/2022This place was awesome. Great location for Mesa Verde. Plenty of room for 6 people, 2 private rooms, and a great common room downstairs. Also a really cool mountain view from the front porch with some chairs. Nice and quiet, very clean, would highly recommend! 
Matt5/20/2022We had an wonderful trip. The house is very nice and spacious, lots of room to move around. The Owners are amazing and gave some great local food recommendations. We were taking a snowboarding trip in Colorado and the this house was an amazing place to relax at after coming back from the mountain. Cole1/03/2022Wow, what a wonderful stay! JanElle should have a super host status, they went far and beyond what was written on the website-- cooked gourmet breakfast with extra portions for my hungry boys, brought printer from her house so we can print some paperwork and even made me a batch of her signature apricot jam to take home with me. The house was so spacious, hosts don't leave there, but there were other rooms for occupants with shared kitchen and playroom. We didn't feel crowded at all, hosts even separated us for breakfast because of Covid 19 scare. My boys LOVED the space-- there were so many toys there in a separate playroom, we didn't see them because they were so busy playing. Overall, the best stay ever, we will recommend it to all our friends and would love to come back!

Jen10/15/2023Talk about some amazing hospitality! This was such a cute setup on a little farm with an awesome views! Jana makes the most delicious homemade muffins and it was so nice to wake up to a homemade breakfast. We felt so cozy here. My son also forgot his stuffed animal there and Jana was kind enough to offer mailing it to us. We will definitely be back next time we are in town! 
Paige7/16/2020 - Great, spacious lodge for large families. Loved having the game room as part of the house, and the feel of the place if very warm and welcoming with thoughtful decorations. The host is absolutely fantastic, helping with any issues in the lodge and also giving great tips for local activities.
Peter1/01/2021The Wrangler's Roost was a great fit for our family of 6 while we were visiting the area! The kids loved the game room and being able to get outside. The location worked well for us as we visited Mesa Verde and Hovenweep.

Dominic11/06/2023We had a fantastic stay! We were comfortably able to accommodate our group staying at the home and our family that visited during the day that lives locally. The home is very spacious and a perfect location for large families or multiple families traveling together. We cooked our full Thanksgiving meal and had plenty of cooking utensils to use in the kitchen. The game room and tire swing were hits with the kids. Very friendly and responsive hosts, would definitely recommend!

Sarah6/19/2022JanElle's place was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We dropped by last-minute yet without much notice yet we were greeted warmly and our space was ready. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hospitality. Also, our breakfast the next morning was outstanding -- especially the french toast! Highly recommended! 
Darius6/09/2020The place is everything you need. Very well centralized to go places. Very well maintained. The owners are very accommodating to your needs. Perfect for larger groups or multi family vacations. Very comfortable and relaxing. Hope to visit again in the future!

Wendy & Brent10/18/2020The unit was the perfect size and layout for our family of five. The location is mere minutes from the entrance to Canyon of the Ancients National Monument and a very short drive to Mesa Verda National Park. It is near enough to town to provide easy access to stores and restaurants while still being just enough "off the beaten path" to be peacefully quiet and provide many opportunities to enjoy the passing deer. The common-area kitchen was clean and well equipped for all our cooking needs. My daughter loved the tire swing out front while my son played the piano in the spacious common-area living/dining room. The host communicated well and made check-in and check-out super easy. We definitely plan to stay here again in the near future! Luke10/06/2021JanElle accommodation was beautiful.
