- We were a large group of 14. When we arrive at Mountain View Lodge everything was ready the lights were even on. The lodge is so curly decorated. We were four families and had enough rooms for each family. The kids were able to run around in the large yard, play games in the games room. When asked what they wanted to do they replied play. There was even a tree swing which the kids loved. Our stay their was relaxing and very peaceful. Mountain View Lodge is a hidden gem. The scenery was amazing! JoaElle was a wonderful host. This is a place I would love to return to. Thank you for a great vacation!

Elena10/18/2021The view was incredible, the owners helpful and attentive, and the space is beautiful. A gorgeous common area, nice game room, and a full kitchen to play with if you decide to not eat out. 
Brad9/18/2022Great home for large families or groups. Everything you need is provided, JanElle was quick to respond to our questions. The kids loved the activity room with all the toys and the view is amazing from the front porch. We spend many morning s and evening’s sitting outside. Our whole family enjoyed the trip.

Irene3/29/2021We loved staying here! Dolores is such a fun, cute little town and the house was situated in a great spot for seeing all the sights we wanted to hit.
The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The kitchen and bathrooms were extremely well stocked and there was plenty of extra bedding and things all around. The kids LOVED the toy room and we loved that we could shut the door and get some peace and quiet while they played. They spent most of the time on the playground, tire swing, or watching for deer on the porch. We had plenty of space in the kitchen (2 large tables), and loved that we could have a space for each family we were traveling with. We spent delightful evenings on the porch, and would love to return.
The only thing on our wish list that was missing was a washer and dryer.

Our kids only wanted to hang out at the house instead of doing all the amazing things offered around Mesa Verde. The large gorgeous front yard was perfect for soccer, football, or anything else our kids could conjure up. The game room was also a huge hit. The Wranglers Roost was plenty comfortable for our overnight stay - bedding options, space, and value were a win. We greatly appreciated the service and offerings JanElle and Todd provide, and we'd look forward to an opportunity to stay again while in the area.

The host is absolutely fantastic, helping with any issues in the lodge and also giving great tips for local activities.

Samantha3/24/2020Wranglers Roost, past the kitchen and living area and upstairs to Wranglers Roost. Got those place because it had seperate bedrooms for a friend and I. There's another tiny bed that's tucked away at the corner of the main living space. Bedrooms were very nice and comfortable. Bathroom was great and full of towels. One of the bedroom has a small living area with tv and mini fridge. The house sits on the outer skirts of town so drive into city is about 10 mins.

Savannah8/04/2021JanElle is an awesome host! Very accomodating. The property is beautiful. She even made fresh muffins in thr morning for us. Will stay again. Family loved the games and big yard and all of the wildlife. Plus the amazing views. Give it a look!

Peter3/20/2022Our stay was very quiet and relaxing. We loved using the game room, and the kitchen was stocked with some useful necessities. The house has a beautiful view, and the bed was very comfortable. Ruth9/06/2021Great space to enjoy a great place. Located in a quiet farm community you are still only 20 minutes from the Mesa Verde park entrance, 7 minutes from one of Phil’s World mountain biking trailheads, and just a few minutes away from restaurants and grocery stores including a Walmart. At the home we enjoyed watching the deer and blue birds, playing games in the large kitchen space, and the kids loved the tire swing and toys. There was a lot of space for having private areas and plenty of beds. The beds were relatively comfortable and the home was clean. Our biggest pros were location and amount of space and our only complaints were small toilets, no smoke detectors we could see, and a couple rooms that were hard to cool. The hosts are phenomenal and answered all our questions quick and easy. You should know that there are others that live in the building but the space is well separated and you won’t even know they are there. Their accommodations are completely separate. I would recommend you consider this space if you are bringing a large family and especially if you want moderately separate spaces for multiple families.

JanElle should have a super host status, they went far and beyond what was written on the website-- cooked gourmet breakfast with extra portions for my hungry boys, brought printer from her house so we can print some paperwork and even made me a batch of her signature apricot jam to take home with me. The house was so spacious, hosts don't leave there, but there were other rooms for occupants with shared kitchen and playroom. We didn't feel crowded at all, hosts even separated us for breakfast because of Covid 19 scare. My boys LOVED the space-- there were so many toys there in a separate playroom, we didn't see them because they were so busy playing. Overall, the best stay ever, we will recommend it to all our friends and would love to come back!

Tracer4/11/2021We had a great time in the Mesa Verde area staying in the Wranglers Roost. JanElle and Todd were responsive and excellent hosts. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. The location was very close to the National in Park as well as other areas of interest. Unexpectedly we were provided with fresh muffins and a great breakfast on our last day. It was awesome and was a great personal touch. Hope to stay here again in future.

Ewa8/03/2022Perfect for our one-night stay near Mesa Verde NP. Very quiet, private, and peaceful location near restaurants and stores. Super clean and very spacious with two separate bedrooms connected to a sitting area and private bathroom. Lots of amenities and the access to a full kitchen on the first floor was a huge plus - we used this stop to re-supply for the next leg of our cross country road trip. Dolores is a cool town with lots of interesting things to do and Cortez has all the stores and amenities travelers need. Host checked on us soon after arrival to see if we had any questions or needed anything - great stay!

Dominique5/14/2020This place is in a great location! Currently seeing some renovations, but quite the ample space and great for large groups. There are some other tenants on property and no washer/dryer. However, the big open space on the main floor is very enjoyable and a great view out the front! We saw a beautiful sunset and some deer from the porch to end the night!
